New York Main Street Program Funding Available for Canal/Center Street Commercial Corridor
Rural Ulster Preservation Company (RUPCO), in partnership with the Village of Ellenville, announces the availability of $200,000 in façade renovation funding for building owners in Ellenville's Canal/Center Street commercial core.
The funding is provided by New York State 's Main Street Program, administered by the Division of Housing & Community Renewal. Commercial or mixed-use properties located in the Canal and Center Street area will be eligible for façade upgrades, residential unit renovation and ancillary streetscape enhancement assistance. The boundaries are Market Street to Canal Street to Main Street back to Center Street. The funding parameters are up to $10,000 for façade renovation and up to $30,000 for building renovation. The program requires a dollar for dollar match. The funds will be provided in the form of a grant and the improvements must be maintained for a period of 7 years.
